Benefits Of Diesel Engines

In case you've owned a diesel powered automobile in the previous or when you own one now, you little question respect the qualities this engine offers you with. More torque, higher gasoline economic system, and easier maintenance are but a couple of of the attributes of owning diesel powered vehicles.

Nonetheless, there are some motorists that still complain about the engine's weak energy, particularly when accelerating from a full stop. What you might not be aware of is the truth that a diesel engine will be tweaked to give more power with out harming the gasoline economy.

Diesel engines use air compression to create combustion versus the gas/air combination that is required by gas engines. This attribute means that diesel engines don't require spark plugs and subsequently don't have to be tuned up.

Diesel gasoline has a much high gas density than fuel, which results in gas economic system increases of 20 - 30% over gasoline powered vehicles.

Diesel engines are additionally cheaper to keep up as they've less components than that of a gasoline powered engine. The life span of a diesel engine can also be a lot longer.

For those who're in search of torque, for pulling a boat or other tools, then the diesel engine has the supreme advantage. Diesel engines are surely slower, particularly when ranging from a dead stop, although once you climb hills or go over bridges, the diesel engine is surely as much as the task.

With trucks, diesel is often the chief over gasoline engines in terms of efficiency and miles per gallon. Diesel vehicles will get extra miles than gas vans, and the value for diesel is a bit cheaper than fuel these days. And with gasoline costs on the rise, diesel will proceed to dominate for a long time to come.

Puzzle Challenge Crosswords & More

I seen this game in my local EB's and, considering as to how I like Word Find Puzzles, I decided to get it for my PS2. Yet, seeing as to how it was made with the original PS2 Blue disc in mind for its' format and my PS2 no longer plays them, I decided to get the game for my PSP. I'm happy that I did because this is a game that's great to play on the go and otherwise. It contains well over 1000 word and logic puzzle games, providing 200+ hours of gameplay to exercise your mind as well as entertain the puzzle lover in you. It also has game sharing technology in which you can play via wireless connection with one disc for the PSP system. For $19.99, you just can't beat that. This is a game I heartily recommend for hours of fun.

INTEC AV and S-Video Cable for Xbox

For the price, it's worth picking up . Does it improve overall resolution? Not really, but that's not why I bought it. I needed an s-video connection from my xbox to my computer monitor, and it works fine for that. It's not "high end" by any stretch of the imagination, but it works.

Godfather the Game

After playing "Mafia" I couldn't wait for The Godfather game to come out. The screen shots and videos looked a lot like Mafia but with all of my favorite Godfather characters. I basically loved the missions and interacting with the original characters and story line but I have to admit there were some huge dissapointments. My first dissapointment was how the developers used (and over-used) the same exterior and interior spaces, I would see the same buildings and sets so many times that I would get confused as far as what part of the city I was in. The draw distance is also very low; buildings, cars and people appear out of no where as you are walking and driving, this lack of continuity really takes away from getting into the game. Driving is a huge hassle because many of the streets are so narrow that you either get stuck behind slow drivers or crash into them to push them out of the way. I also had problem with game play; the game advertised that you can be as mean or nice as you want but there is really no way to play this game without putting a lot of hurt on shop owners. I mean it's a given that you'll kill or hurt other gangsters but there are way too many beatings of civilians in the game. One thing I like about Mafia was that all throughout the game the character was getting drawn deeper and deeper into the gang but there was always a sense of "is this right?". Even the ending of Mafia showed that the gang life doesn't always end happily. In this sense the Godfather movies are much more like the game Mafia then like the game The Godfather. As far as the character models go they were pretty good, even better than Mafia, I just wish Pacino had given permission for his likeness because the Michael Corleone model doesn't look or sound anything like him, and that really sucks because he was really the main character of all 3 movies.

If you're a big Godfather fan and want to interact with some of the movies characters then go ahead and buy this game. But if you're really looking for a gangster style shooter with a great story and better city graphics then buy Mafia.

Saitek X52 Flight Control System

I bought the Saitek X52 controller for my husband for his birthday. I had given him the Microsoft Flight Simulator X for Christmas and he had been using the mouse to control the aircraft since that time. He had always commented on how difficult it was to control the aircraft with the mouse and was interested in getting a flight controller but the price at Best Buy was prohibitive (around $129). When I spotted the price here - around $98- I decided to get the controller. Since getting and using the controllers, he has commented numerous times about the ease of use and the ability to control aircraft within the software simpler and wondered why we didn't get this sooner. It has been difficult to get him away from the computer now and he spends a lot of spare time "flying"!! Oh what have I done! I am very happy with the quality and the controls on the unit. Took a little time to figure out that we had to configure the Flight Simulator software to use a controller instead of the mouse. Only operator error, no problem with the controllers.

Company of Heroes DVD-Rom

The original COH was great, until this "expansion" comes out. Opposing Fronts is extremely buggy. The game freezes all the time. Worse, after you kill the frozen game, it won't recognize your DVD any more. So, you have to reinstall it. Worse yet, the updates cannot be downloaded into your hard drive, so you will have to wait for the 200MB download every time you do the reinstallation. If you think this is frustrating enough, you have not seen half of it yet. The Panzer Elite faction in this expansion was made super strong, as in the super human sense. Even a newbie playing Panzer Elite can easily, and I mean easily, defeat a veteran of the original game. I suppose the vendor wants to make sure you buy the new package instead of staying with the old COH. To make sure you absolutely do not have that option, they also force you to play against Panzer Elite in multiplayer setting. There is no way to opt out!

And to add insult to injury, they sell the expansion pack as a "stand-alone", i.e. full price. After I bite the bullet and pay up, I realize that I still cannot get the great gaming experience back because everyone else in the multiplayer lobby wants to play Panzer Elte, and two such players cannot play against each other. So, I either have to join the other 17 players in waiting for a clueless cannon fodder to come along, or I have to be that cannon fodder. Either way, it is no fun.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I am not going to review the action, graphics, or plot of this game. I would like to, but I can't. The reason I can't is because the dvd that this game is published on will not play in my dvd player. In fact, many people own dvd players that will not work with the secret anti-copying voodoo included on the dvd, and if you are one of the owners of these drives, you can't play this game either. In fact you can't read the dvd at all, so you can't even install the game. If you are one of the unfortunate owners of these unsupported dvd drives you may, like me, turn to activision tech support for assistance. Then you will find, as I have, that activision tech support is as usefull as a third shoe. I have been repeatedly told to reboot my computer then run the game to see what happens, this despite the fact that I have explained repeatedly that I can't even read the dvd or install the game. If you have surmised that I have some exotic dvd drive and that I should expect some difficulties, I can assure you my drive is as vanilla as they come. It is a LG manufactured dvd drive that was standard install from Dell on my Dimension computer.
Being as I purchased this game from Amazon, I was not able to see the various labels on the box, but now that I have received it one label stands out..."This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some disc and virtual drives."
So, beware pc gamers, just because you have a fast enough processor, and a powerful enough video card, your machine may very well not be able to read the dvd, install or play this game.
